Waxing and Waning Moon

Written 1.6.09 @ 2:00am

Never thought the sky could be so deceiving.
For whatever's left of this moment,
Is surely residual, fading, and fleeting.

Steady now.  Let the aftershock subside.
Let go of this hand;
and give up the try.
If that's what you want,
I'll give up the stand.
If that's what you want,
Let go of my hand.

I never thought of the night as so obscure.
Hidden feelings, let alone, subconsciously concur.
Looking up into those eyes,
One can't help but feel such tension.
Waiting is surely difficult, it is.
But patience, my love.
Is key for such a decision.

Steady now. Let the aftershock subside.
Keep hold of this hand;
or give up the try.
If that's what you want,
I'll fight and defend.
If that's what you want,
Don't let go of my hand.

Wondering what this is about?
One look at the half moon,
Should answer your questions and doubts.

A silent reply, may be all we need.
There's nothing left to hold onto.
When such an opportunity fades fast;
And learning that perfect moments,
Are real only in dreams.
